| Katie dominating Sam and me in a little game of go-fish. |
At the moment I am sitting on smelly and crowded greyhound bus next to my new friend Sam. Katie and I tried to find seats next to each other but of course once we sat down we realized why no one was sitting in the only open 2 seater, the seats were soaking wet. So we have all split to find our own seats and have all made new friends, somewhat. Katie is sitting next to a really skinny, smelly guy with a beard who doesn’t speak any English so they have been awkwardly smiling and nodding their heads at each other for the past few minutes. Mike is sitting next to a blonde girl from England and they have been chatting nonstop since the bus pulled out of port; I smell love. And Sam, my bus buddy, is a yoga teacher from Texas traveling Thailand on his own until he goes back to New York for a televised yoga show. I decided to utilize my time and whip out my computer to write a quite blog while we had some downtime so he pulled out his headphones and said he was going to listen to music while I write, but he would rather talk so to let him know when I was ready. Someone who wants to chat - a man after my own heart! The floor on our bus is soaking wet as well so all of my belongings are piled in my lap for this 3 hour bus ride from Krabi to Koh Samui.
We have been in Krabi for the past 3 days and done a lot of exploring. The first night we got in town Mike and I went for a much needed beach run, my first time exercising since I've been in Thailand. I think all those Thai teas I’ve been drinking have settled in my feet because I felt like I could barely lift them off the ground. Our room in Krabi was the first place we have stayed with no AC, bad move. I felt like I was trapped in a molding room, nothing would dry! Another thing I forgot to mention about the rooms here in Thailand is the shower and the toilet are practically combined. The shower head is right beside the toilet and there is a drain on the bathroom floor to let the water run out. You literally can drop the kids off at the pool and shower at the same time. Mike said he gave it go and tried to multitask, but Katie and I haven’t been that brave....yet!

When we woke up on our first morning in Krabi, dripping in our own sweat, it was time to head off for a kayaking tour through caves and mangroves. Our guide asked us if we each wanted our own kayaks and we all excitedly said yes. After about an hour into our trip Katie and I realized we should have shared a kayak to trade off paddling duties so after lunch we switched to a two seater. And of top of that, we ended up tying up to Mike's kayak so he could pull us and we could lie down and sun bath. What a guy!
Our evening consisted of food and another 9 dollar Thai massage. I switched my routine up a little bit and added in 30 minutes of a foot massage, it was heavenly.
On day 2 in Krabi we went rock climbing in Railay Bay. Rock climbers from all over the world come to climb at Railay and it was definitely a crowded, action packed spot. I have only attempted indoor climbing in the past so this was quite an experience for me. I completed 3 climbs and my arms felt like noodles, which I learned is the first indication that I am a beginner climber. If anything I should have been feeling the burn in my legs.

| Our Tuk Tuk and our Tuk Tuk Driver. |
When we got back to our hotel we changed and took a Tuk Tuk (Thailand taxi) into Krabi town to eat dinner at a local market. The Tuk Tuk is much like a mini party bus. The open air bed of the truck has strobe lights and subwoofers, a pole to hold onto for some booty dancing, and blaring music. Quite the taxi ride just to take us to the neighborhood market for dinner. I felt like I was about to get dropped off at Wall Street in Orlando.

And of course I couldn’t jet out of town without getting another rabies shot this morning. 3 down, 2 more to go.
That about wraps up Krabi, it's time for me to socialize with Sam.
